Men's Initiative to close
Unfortunately, due to the difficult economic climate, Men’s Initiative has been unable to secure sufficient funding to continue offering counseling to Philadelphia area men. As a result, the Board has made the very difficult decision to close Men’s Initiative on December 31, 2009.

Although we wish we could continue serving Philadelphia area men and their families, our staff and volunteers are all grateful that in less than two years we have touched the lives of hundreds of local men through individual counseling, group therapy, and support groups.

We think it’s very important that men get the help they need and deserve. If you are in need of counseling services, we urge you to contact one of the counseling and psychiatric emergency centers listed on either side.
